No Bullsh*t Basics, what is it and how did it begin?
I started this blog in March of 2017 and it was actually out of frustration. Like many others I often do go to the internet to gain knowledge and get advice on various topics. The most useful purpose of the internet is also it’s biggest downfall, an abundance of information.
The 2 biggest problems with information online are 1. people placing their own interests before the people they are trying to educate, therefore information is tainted or manipulated for personal gain and 2. unnecessary amounts of information which just ends up confusing the reader instead of helping them. What my blog aims to do is provide a ‘No Bullsh*t’ explanation of various topics but focuses on Health/Fitness and Finance.
Why Health/Fitness and Finance? 1. Because they are my 2 biggest passions and where my knowledge lies and 2. Because it’s the 2 topics which align with the biggest issue of the internet, tainted information for personal gain and ‘over-information’. What makes me qualified to give this information and what makes me ‘different from the rest’, you’ll have to pop over the my ‘About Me’ section to read a little more.
The information contained in this blog is aimed at being ‘basic’, hence the name! It is my goal to keep things as simple as possible to build the foundations of the knowledge people seek. I expect comments on this blog saying ‘well there’s more to it than that’, of course there is, but I have a big belief in the Pareto Principle, the assumption that most of the results in any situation are determined by a small number of causes, the role of my blog is to focus on those small number of causes. There will also no doubt be those who completely disagree with the content and I welcome that. I do not claim to know everything or have the answer to everything, but I am confident that the basic advice and information in this blog will give readers the foundation to continue pursuing the knowledge they seek.
So have a read, ask questions, challenge my information and at the end of the day I hope by visiting my blog you’ve gained some kind of ‘No Bullsh*t Basic’ information that helps you achieve your goals.
P.S. The goal of this blog is not financial gain. There will be times that I link products or pages where I may be remunerated, but I will NEVER let personal gain get in the way of good advice or information as this completely goes against the reason this blog was started. If you feel I have said or done something in this blog which contradicts that, please let me know and I’ll be happy to justify or correct my comments.
